This Privacy Policy explains how TeamThink Solutions (Pty) Ltd trading as Devv Technology ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use WeBook and any other services offered under the TeamThink platform (collectively "the Services").
This policy is governed by the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) and applies to all users of our Services in South Africa and internationally.

2.1 Information you provide directly:
- Full name and email address (account registration)
- Business name, category, location, and contact details (business profile setup)
- Profile photographs and business assets uploaded to the Services
- Financial information required for billing (processed securely by Paystack)
- Communication history when you contact our support team
2.2 Information we process for your business:
When you use WeBook to manage your business, we process the following on your behalf:
- Client names, phone numbers, and optional email addresses
- Appointment history and scheduling preferences
- Service descriptions and pricing (income data)
- Business expenses and financial records
2.3 Information collected automatically:
- IP address, device type, and browser identifier
- Usage statistics, page views, and interaction telemetry
- Cookie-based data (see our Cookie Policy for details)
3HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We process information for the following lawful purposes:
- Service Delivery: To operate and maintain WeBook, including hosting your public booking page.
- Business Insights: To provide your business with reports on income, expenses, and client retention.
- Communications: To send appointment confirmations, reminders, and service updates.
- Security: To protect our platform from fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
- Compliance: To fulfill legal and tax obligations, including billing and financial reporting.
4DATA SECURITY & STORAGE
We implement industry-leading technical and organizational measures to safeguard your data. This includes end-to-end encryption for sensitive data, secure database hosting via Supabase, and strict access controls for our platform administrators.
Note: No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5THIRD-PARTY DISCLOSURES
We only share information with third parties when necessary for service delivery:
- Paystack: Our secure payment gateway handles all financial transactions. We do not store your credit card details.
- Supabase: Our database and authentication provider.
- Resend: Used to deliver appointment notifications and system emails.
- Vercel: Our hosting and infrastructure provider.
6DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active.
- Inactivity: If your account has been inactive for 90 days and your subscription has expired or been cancelled, we will contact you via email to offer assistance and ask if you wish to continue using WeBook.
- Deletion Sequence: If your account remains inactive after three reminder emails over a 45-day period, your account will be scheduled for deletion. You will receive a final 7-day notice before any data is deleted.
- Data Removal: Upon deletion, all personal information including your business profile, client records, and booking history will be permanently removed from our systems within 7 days of the deletion date.
- Manual Deletion: You may request deletion of your account at any time by emailing legal@devv.co.za or using the Delete Account option in Settings → Account.
We will retain only the minimum data required by South African tax law (payment records for 5 years) after account deletion.
iYOUR RIGHTS (POPIA)
As a user, you have the following rights under POPIA:
- Right of Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Right to Correction: Request that we correct incomplete or inaccurate data.
- Right to Deletion: Request that we delete your personal information (subject to tax/legal retention).
- Right to Object: Withdraw consent for processing where processing was based on consent.
